The ACJC Alumni Choir

Despite graduating in different years, singers in the Anglo-Chinese Junior College (ACJC) Alumni Choir are rooted in the same values of music making. An eagerness to learn, integrity and a pursuit of excellence unite the choir as one committed to blessing through music.

Since 1995, the Alumni Choir has sung alongside the ACJC Choir in the annual An Evening with Friends concert, serving as mentors in the College Choir’s development. Independently, the Alumni Choir presents an Advent concert each December and has embarked on tours to London, Oxford and Tampere. In a bid to reach out to the local choral community, the choir organised Project All Sing in 2014, bringing together amateur choristers in a workshop to learn and create music. In 2015, the choir recorded several commissioned works for an album, Prayers and Poems, released this year.

Amid these activities, the ACJC Alumni Choir remains fundamentally a group of friends united by a passion for choral singing and a desire to grow as individual musicians and as an ensemble. At its heart, the choir firmly believes in making music that touches and brings joy to its listeners.
