Lim Ai Hooi
Ai Hooi’s philosophy for choral music and teaching stems from her view that a fulfilling musical journey is one that is filled with sincerity, love and excellence. She uses the creation of music as a platform to share and infuse her values and beliefs in her singers, and inspires them to use the beauty of music to craft experiences that touch the hearts of the audience.
Ai Hooi also co-founded Sourcewerkz PL to further her calling to teach, touch and transform the larger choral community and its audience. The choral festivals and workshops by Sourcewerkz has reached out to many choristers around the world, proving that music is indeed, without borders.
ONE Chamber Choir
ONE Chamber Choir is a young adult choir established in 2009 under the baton of Ms Lim Ai Hooi. In 2010, ONE entered a partnership with the Song Lovers Choral Society (SLCS), formerly known as Lee Howe Choral Society, to form the youth wing of SLCS. In 2012, ONE was invited as a guest choir for the first Festival Coral de Verão, notably performing at the UNESCO World Heritage site, Mosteiro dos Jerónimos. In 2013, ONE took part in the Andrea O. Veneracion International Choral Festival in Manila, Philippines, emerging first in the Chamber Choir category. The choir has also put up concerts working with renowned conductors Maestro Werner Pfaff from Germany and Māestro Māris Sirmais from Latvia.
